yeah. the sun is shining, the quicksilver tops 5 degrees celsius – what else do we need? there is at least one nice streetspot which issues sun-guarantee already and there aren’t even loose chippings, so you are not at risk of slipping! use the next nice days to roll around at the schwarzenberg-platz and don’t stay at home if it’s so beautiful outside!

bmxclusive news – they are working on a relaunch of their webpage because of a move to a new and faster webserver, the relaunch will be on february the 27th. further more there will be a nice offer for everybody who visits their shop on the last friday of the month beginning with friday, february 26th – if you want to know more about this, you have to visit their homepage, where you can also find the first part of the halloween-jam-footage!

megafon – this is the name of the recently created internet community for everybody living or working in or around wr neustadt. damn it – aren’t facebook and co enough for everybody? – more communities = more fun – wow?
ah – facebook is so damn global, and we’d like it more regional – i see.
the only positive effect of megafon is, that some interesting people seem to use this platform, so if you’ve got a question for our councilman for sports and youth (horst karas) or our youthagent (christoph gausch), don’t be afraid to write them some messages on their profiles. maybe someone would like to ask them about the new youthmetropole of austria (wiener neustadt?)! there’s talk about skateparks, funparks, indoor-skateareas and that wiener neustadt will become the youthmetropole of austria – and still they don’t seem to be able to build one lousy skatepark that lasts longer than for one year – every single village around this city did it better – open your eyes

for all of you who weren’t able to ride their bike in the last days and weeks – we cast out the old year and let the new year begin for you too with a small session at our secret spot which is protected against wind and weather. since december wasn’t as cold as it should have been there are a few new photos, maybe you like it.

colours and restlfestl…

about one week ago imoht presented me with a dvd called colours (i think you can only get it from parano-garage…). it’s a nice video made by thomi zronek and timm wiegmann about the bmx-lifestyle with riders from austria and germany. at the first sight it seemed really beautiful and relaxed and also the booklet is really amusing – so take your chance and get yourself one of these dvds!

a few days ago embryonal.net released their this year’s leftover-footage ‘restlfestl’ if i mentioned that right. it’s availabe on vimeo or on embryonal.net.

there will be a video-premiere-evening at the bmxclusive store in leobersdorf on saturday (nov 21st) at 5pm. the bmxclusive crew will present you the eastern bikes – ‘death of fun’ video – so go to the bmxclusive-webpage to get more details and to ‘book’ your place on the sofa!

four-x-challenge

first i want to apologize for the few updates in the last weeks – there are a lot of things to finish for my studies, i hope this will get better soon.

there will be a four-x-challenge at the floodlit local in wiener neustadt tomorrow evening. there will be an entry fee for guest-riders of about five euro. doors open at 5pm, start of the race will be at 6pm. beer will be arranged, there will be a bbq too but you have to bring your own steaks…

only bad news are good news

two weeks went by without any updates – but now we finally made it…

rock and roll jam – on sunday the 20th of september 2009 the shifted rock and roll jam took place at the prater skatepark in vienna. there were a lot of bmxdudes also including two guests from slovenia – yes, crankflips are great – so the jam was really nice and interesting. in between the beginners and the ‘pro’-runs the whole gang moved to the hermann strand bar to pass the highest bunnyhop contest – i think the limit was 1.05 meters. after this excursion we went back to the prater skatepark were the jam moved on with the ‘dice-of-death’-contest, a destruction derby and the pro-runs. after all there was the presentation of three bmx-movies (one dude one day – michi sommer – directed by thomi zronek, train trip – directed by joe rich and ruben alcantara, i love my bicycle: the story of fbm bikes – directed by joe stakun) at the urania cinema within the final activities of the bicycle film festival vienna. kendla jam – yesterday there was a jam at the skatepark kendlerstraße. unfortunately i forgot to post this announcement earlier – sorry slaven! due the fact that i wasn’t at the jam on my own i can only tell you that the weather was fine…

bad news are bad news – here are the really bad news: our ghettoskatepark in wiener neustadt has been removed by the city authorities. no more place to bridge the months and years until we get a new skatepark here. at the moment we cannot say for which reason the ’skatepark’ had to be removed – aside from beeing built illegaly at the area of the former skatepark – which will be unused forever…
but maybe dumping garbage beside the ramps isn’t the best way to keep the authorities calm – think about it…

let’s get mystical videopremiere

things are getting hot in austria – there are new mailorder bmxshops coming up if you trust in the rumors. at least one shop became real in the last days and it’s called spokesbmx mailorder. and to perfect the opening they are going to present the latest mutiny video called ‘let’s get mystical’ at the lui in linz this friday (18th of september). there will be a jam session before the premiere at the urfahrer skatepark too – so take your good and chattels and head towards linz this friday to have a lot of fun…
